PostSubject: Digital picture frame. DIYS   Digital picture frame. DIYS EmptySun Feb 08, 2009 1:35 am

So....I was looking online and I found a few people that have took there old laptops and made them into digital picture frames. So I am going to give it a shot. Basically you take out the LCD, mount it into a custom frame, reconnect all the needed components from the laptop into the back of the frame. But right now I am working on installing the software i need. I can use google photo screen savers and set it to pull photos from my picasa account, so when i upload new photos. Bam. they are right there. I will also set up a VNC so i can remotely access it, if i ever need to change configuration. also the little barrel connector on the ac adapter is loose, or it might be the connector part on the laptop is loose(or both lol) since i have to wiggle them around to get it to charge. I will post photos as my project moves forward.
