| No soldering irons in the new kit!? what the hell? What makes it funny, is they include everything but the soldering iron. So you get a stand, solder and a de-soldering tool but no soldering iron?!< /rant> | |

| lol, so do they still do the lab? Do they all share the same one? Not like it matters, irons are what, $20 and we used them for an hour. | |

| Did they already do the project?
Maybe the old students can loan/sell our soldering irons? (I don't see myself ever using it again and was planning on donating it to GoodWill, but who is going to buy it there either?) | |

| yeah, I was a little disappointed too. We got the stand, solder, etc... but no iron. I dont care if we are only going to use it once, I still want one. They probably would have charged us another 100 dollars any way lol | |

| You're probably still getting charged for the iron, and while I'm at it what about the O-scope probe with adapters, what I want to know is why we even needed them either, it aint like they gave us an O-scope of our own right! BTW I still use my sol iron, when modding or working on other electronics, and you could go out and buy better equipment at a cheaper cost than what they charge here. Even your $700.00 computer which would cost anywhere from $250.00 to $285.00 if you purchased everything yourself. What makes it even worse, the current A+ students have a slightly better PC than we got for the same price, aint that just a bite in the donkey. | |

| As far as the over pricing goes, I agree that WTI is over priced, but so is the majority of other Technical colleges and while it is a slight complaint, we do have to keep in mind, it's not just the salaries and the materials that they have to pay for, they also have bills to pay for and i'm sure that there are "hidden" costs that we are unaware of (such as software licenses). As far as i'm concerned my money is being well spent. I don't know about you people, but you can't really put a price on teachers that make you want to come to school and care about you as an individual. Not only that, but they encourage you to get as many certifications as you can which will land you in a position to do well with your future. I'm a little disgruntled myself with the pricing of the materials, but to be honest, in the long run, what is paying for a little over priced stuff going to mean to me when i'm making a good amount of money doing what I enjoy doing? | |

| The school has a set of like 30 irons that will stay in Mr Padgett's class from now on so us and future classes will just use them there since we only use them one day, but yes it is kinda funny how they put all the othe materials in there but the iron. | |
